Bithium focuses on providing customers with design and development of innovative digital radio technology solutions. The company has a great experience on DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) standard and applications. The know-how in DECT includes DECT 6.0 (used in USA and Canada) and ULE (Ultra Low Energy). A great number of products with Bithium technology are out, both in the consumer and professional/business markets. Besides DECT, Bithium also provides development services on innovative Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, PSTN and VoIP applications.
Consulting services are available for all product development stages: product specification, embedded system design, industrial design, prototyping, testing and production. The company activity leverages the internal know-how in DSP integration, XMOS programming, RF design and baseband processing, PCB layout and integration with mechanical design teams.

Bithium uses on of two methodologies in its projects. The methodoly is defined on a projects basis depending on the projects overall objectives, timings and involved risks.
One of these is the spiral model. The model gives us great aspects on the risks, when developning new products and solutions. The spiral model is build as a spiral with four phases, planning, risk analysis, engineering and evaluation.
Planning phase:Requirements are gathered during the planning phase. Requirements here could be ‘System Requirement specifications’.
Risk Analysis: In the risk analysis phase, a process is undertaken to identify risk and alternate solutions. A prototype is produced at the end of the risk analysis phase. If any risk is found during the risk analysis then alternate solutions are suggested and implemented.
Engineering phase:In this phase software is developed, along with testing at the end of the phase. Hence in this phase the development and testing is done.
Evaluation phase:This phase allows the customer to evaluate the output of the project to date before the project continues to the next spiral.
The second methodoly is the agile software development process. Here we go from planning to building the project, then the project gets launched and we recieve feedback that can be used for planning the next iteration.
When we work, our team provides electronic hardware design services which includes hardware architecture definition, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping and production interface. This provides our customer with a solution from idea to end product at the factory.
